The COFFEE SHOP

A WARM WELCOME AWAITS!

The Joinery Coffee Shop is situated in the centre of the village of Meigle, only couple of miles from Perthshire’s border with Angus and a 20 minute drive from Dundee city centre.

Originally a Joiner’s Workshop, the premises was bought by local lady Mary Conacher and her husband Fred back in 1992. Over the next two years they worked tirelessly to transform the building into a warm, welcoming village coffee shop and opened the doors to the public in February 1994. The Joinery has been owned and managed by another local, Ann Durston, since November 2016.

Over the years the shop has become a well established and much loved local eatery, with tasty homemade soups, light lunches, speciality hot and cold drinks and a wonderful array of homebaking always on the menu. Everything is made daily here on the premises, and all food and drinks are freshly prepared to order in our open kitchen.

The large wood burning stove in the centre of the coffee shop serves not only as lovely focal point, but helps create a warm and welcoming atmosphere during the cold winter months, while the spacious and sheltered decking area provides a very pleasant dining space in the summertime.
