Community

As a leading small business in a rural area we really value our role within our local community and place importance on “giving back” to local voluntary groups and charities. We do this in a variety of ways – mainly through sponsorship, raffle prizes and cash donations. We also regularly support the work of many leading national charities by running quiz nights, lucky draws and organising ongoing in-house fundraising.

In a bid to reduce food waste and support the work of our local Foodbank, we also make sure we freeze any leftover scones at the end of each day and donate them on a weekly basis.

Community Bread Co-operative

Here at the Joinery we are delighted to work in partnership with Wild Hearth to provide a Local Community Bread Co-operative. This is a not-for-profit exercise for The Joinery – we do not benefit financially by hosting the Bread Co-op. Instead, the aims of this initiative are to strengthen and build on community relationships and to provide a service to our customers and the local community by enabling access to world class sourdough products.
